A soft, worn-in cotton cap with a small, neat Three Stars & Sun stitched on the front. It's the symbol from the Philippine flag. On the left side, "Pilipinas" (the Filipino word for "Philippines") is stitched in script.
The three stars stand for the country's three main island groups: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The sun's eight rays honor the first eight provinces that rose up for independence. You don't have to be Filipino to wear it. It's for anyone who likes the story behind it.
